Our dance group, ‘Salsa & Bachata Fridays’, meets every Friday to dance Salsa and Bachata, two Latin American dances. Our dance teachers David, Susann and Mustafa organize this group on a voluntary basis.
We started this initiative because we want to give people who are new to Dresden, or who already live here, the opportunity to socialise, learn new skills, and enjoy a fun activity at the end of a stressful week of work or study.
Having lived abroad ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to settle into a new city and make friends. We want to make it a little easier for others in this respect. We therefore also see our group as a platform to bring people together through Latin dance.
Our mission: Enjoy dancing, promote cultural exchange and integration!
We are also the winners of the Internationalization Award 2021 in the category ‘International Campus and Community’, which is awarded
every year by TU Dresden.
